OMBUDSMAN FOR LSGIs
The Ombudsman is a high-level judicial mechanism where citizens can file complaints regarding corruption, malpractice, misuse of authority, and dereliction of duty by elected representatives or officials of local self-government institutions.
The institution is headed by a person holding the status of a High Court Judge.

LSGI TRIBUNAL
The Tribunal is a quasi-judicial forum for filing appeals against decisions and orders issued by the Panchayat governing body or Secretary, including matters such as:
Rejection of licenses
Cancellation of building permits
Other administrative decisions and orders

Citizens can directly bring delays in Panchayat services or other grievances to the attention of the Chief Minister through the online portal.
Complaints submitted through cmo.kerala.gov.in are required to be addressed by officials within the prescribed time frame.

K-SMART is the Local Self Government Department’s integrated online single-window service platform.
Citizens can:
Submit complaints related to Panchayat services online
Access services without visiting the Panchayat office
Track the real-time status of their complaints and applications

VACB
Citizens can directly lodge complaints with the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau regarding:
Demands for bribes in Panchayat offices
Large-scale financial irregularities
Misappropriation or diversion of government funds
Other corruption-related offences
The Bureau investigates allegations of corruption and misuse of public resources in local self-government institutions.
